Jackie Earl Sharp was born May 21, 1955 in Oklahoma City to Harold Sharp and Lula Mae (Armstrong). He passed away March 16, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 67.
Jackie grew up in Wellston where he attended school graduating with the Wellston High School class of 1973. As a young boy, he hoe’d peanuts in his grandfather’s peanut field. He hauled hay as a teenager and later worked as the Assistant Manager at Phillips 66 on the turnpike. Jackie served as the foreman at a roofing plant in Stroud, then became a restaurant manager where he worked until his retirement.
Jackie dearly loved his grandchildren and had immense joy in his great-grandchildren. He was a good Christian man who loved his Lord and Savior.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lula Mae Sharp; daughter, Candy Privett; infant brother, Billy Gene Sharp; and his brother, Charles Sharp. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Cammie Sharp; daughter, LeeAnn Sharp, both of the home; 4 grandchildren, Bridgett Neher and husband Chase, Alex Privett, Mykel Sharp, Baylee Sharp; 3 great-grandchildren, Jordan Privett, Maddy Neher, Rhett Sharp; brother, Alan Sharp and wife Tammy of Missouri; sister, Stephanie Sharp of Missouri; along with other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Successful Word Church in Warwick. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
