Linda Jean Shanklin
June 3, 1951 ~ July 13, 2015

Funeral service for Linda Jean Shanklin, 64, Enid, will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Mark Garard. Service is under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Military rites will be conducted by the Vance AFB Silver Guard.

Linda was born on June 3, 1951, in Enid, the daughter of Lindy J. and Effie Ruth Haley Eck and passed away peacefully on July 13, 2015, at her residence.

She graduated from Carrier High School with the class of 1968.

Linda joined the United States Air Force the same year. She served 20 years, retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant. Linda returned to Enid in 1992, serving her state at NORCE until her retirement.

She is survived by her parents, Lindy and Effie Eck of Enid; sister, Brenda Eck of Enid; brother, Kevin and wife Sonja Eck of Enid; four children, Jeff, Tiffany, Kyle, and Amanda; five grandchildren, Jayla, Alizae, Mackenzie, Braydon, and Dax.
