Irene Ella (Ankrom) Shaffer, 83, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at West Haven Nursing Home.
She was born on March 20, 1935 in Sistersville, West Virginia to Earl Ellsworth and Georgia (Davis) Ankrom.
She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Irene is survived by four daughters, Patricia (Roger) Colter of Danville, Illinois, Donna (Leon) Cox of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Tanya (Jim) Corbitt of Rolesville, North Carolina, Christina (Doyle) Stephens of Frederick, Colorado; three sons, Dave (Lori ) Neff of Greeley, Colorado, Stan (Debbie) Neff of Lancaster, South Carolina, Gary Neff of Haltom City, Texas.; sister, Grace Skinner of North Lima, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Earle Harrison Neff on Feb 12, 1977; husband, Louis John Shaffer on January 20, 2002; a brother, Leo Francis Ankrom; sister Rhea Jane Risher; and granddaughter, Patricia Irene Neff.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 2:00pm at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 12 noon to 7:00pm and family greeting guest from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
