The funeral for Greg Shafer will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 16, 2022, at Dover Christian Church. Family visitation will be Tuesday February 15, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
HENNESSEY - The funeral for Greg Shafer, 61 will be at 2:00 PM February 16, 2022 at Dover Christian Church officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile. There will be a family visitation Tuesday February 15, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Greg was born in Enid on July 8, 1960 to James L. and Marye L. Osborn Shafer and died Friday February 11, 2022.
Greg was a member of Dover Christian Church. He worked at Enid Water Department, Ranger Oilfield Service, and LaPorte Pharmacy.
He is survived by his lifelong companion Brenda Rutledge of the home, one daughter Heather Tyler and husband Anthony, two brothers Scott Shafer of Enid, Doug Shafer, one sister Kerry Fuksa and husband James; Brenda’s children Eben Paxton and wife Charlotte, all of Hennessey, Tammy Plaster and husband Gerald of Enid, grandchildren Wesley and Ian, Samantha Dowell and husband Chad, Adam Aguirre, Benjamin Aguirre, Car Aguirre, Jacob Paxton; six great- grandchildren, including Camden Dowell with whom he had a special relationship.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to Dover Christian Church Missions with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
