Gail was born on July 6, 1943, in McKinney, Texas to Samuel Sevier and Annette Cossey Sevier.
She attended Roberts Elementary in Houston, Texas, where she was a member of Girl Scout Troop 348. She attended Lanier Junior High School in Houston, Texas. After finishing Junior High school in Houston her father, a physician, was transferred to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Muskogee, as medical director and she entered Muskogee Central High School as a Sophomore, in 1958.
After graduation from Central High in 1961 she moved to Midwest City and went to work for Tinker Air Force Base in the administration office. In 1963 she moved to Scotland for a year then came back and went back to work at Tinker Air force Base. She returned to Muskogee in 1985, because her mom was ill. In order to stay in Muskogee to care for her mother, she went to work for a Muskogee treatment facility as office manager. Gail retired in 1995, but later worked for Muskogee Public Schools for a while.
In 2014 she married her present husband A. Camp Bonds, Jr. She passed away on March 2, 2019 due to complications from open heart surgery.
She is survived by her husband of home in Muskogee, her brother John Sevier of Branson, Mo., her niece Sydney Sevier of Norman, Oklahoma and her nephew Samuel Thomas Sevier of Lanai, Hawaii, and a large circle of adoring cousins and their families.
Gail was a giver not a taker. She was incredibly loyal and accepting of others. She loved animals and had numerous cats and dogs, with 4 cats and one dog living in the home right now.
She cared for her mother until her death, in 1990 and cared for her father till he died in 2003.
Her wit and clever, sharp mind were endlessly entertaining. She loved watching Jeopardy on TV and was very good at playing it. Her general knowledge was astounding, and her memory remarkable. She was ageless in her youthful zest for life, and her beautiful persona appealed to everyone - to young and old alike. She loved the Baron (Barren?) Fork Creek and the beauty and stillness of nature and loved floating the Creek with her husband. She also enjoyed fishing (catch and release) and caught a 15" bass which she proudly holds up in the photos to be shown at her reception.
She and the family prefer that donation in lieu of flowers be made to one or more of Gail's favorite charities, the Grace Episcopal Rummage Sale (which supplies support to local charities and outreach organizations), the Salvation Army, or Teen Challenge.
