Ronald's Story
Ronald M. Serviss, 72, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Methodist North Hospital, Tennessee.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2016, at Munford Funeral Home, Millington Chapel, Munford, Tenn.
The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. at a catered reception, Monday, July 11, 2016, at Munford Funeral Home.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Lou Etta Cobb Serviss; and a sister, Emalee Serviss, of Broken Arrow, Okla.
After graduating from high school, Ronnie joined the navy. He completed basic training in Texas, where he met the love of his life, Lou Etta Cobb. They were married on Dec. 29, 1969.
Ronnie continued his career in the navy, with two tours of Vietnam. He was also stationed in England, Japan, Virginia, and finally in Millington, where he retired, after 23 years of active duty service.
He continued to work on base as a civilian.
He retired again, and dedicated more time to his hobbies. Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed cooking for close friends and family.
Ronnie will be remembered as a loving, kind, generous man, and will be sorely missed by all.
