Zelma Mae (Powers) Selby

October 24, 1925 ~ May 22, 1995

Zelma Mae Powers Selby, 69, passed away May 22, 1995 at her home in Colorado Springs with a massive coronary.

Her services were held in the Evergreen Chapel at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, and burial was at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.

Mae was born October 24, 1925, in Beckham County, Oklahoma to George and Frances Goodwin Powers.

She was a bookkeeper most of her adult life.

She lived in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma and Texas before moving to Colorado in 1974.

She was a member of the Christian Center Open Bible Church.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Barney Pellham of Colorado Springs; one granddaughter, Amy and David Shannon, of Fort Knox, Kentucky; two great grandchildren, Brianna and Courtney; one grandson Chad Houchin of Carson, Colorado; three brothers, Delbert Powers of Durham, Oklahoma; Jimmy Powers of Yukon, Oklahoma; and Jackie Powers of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters, Opal Stephenson of Bethany, Oklahoma; and Jeannie Lowery of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald F. Selby of Colorado; her parents, George and Frances Powers of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; one brother, J. B. and one sister, Velma Walker of Bethany, Oklahoma.

Mae will be remembered by all who knew her by her generosity and love for her family to her having a dollar meant who can I help this time.

She was a unique person and will be missed by all who knew her.
