November 4, 1960 ~ July 30, 2022

Donald Richard Scroggins (Ten Lions) November 4, 1960 - July 30, 2022. Mr. Scroggins 61 went home to meet the Lord on July 30, 2022, at Integris Baptist Medical Center OKC from pneumonia.

Mr. Scroggins was born November 4, 1960, to Jerry Richard Scroggins and Shirley Ann Scroggins (Leslie) in Yakima Washington. July 14, 1979, Don married his wife of 42 years, DeAn Scroggins (Maesner) in Yakima Washington.

Mr. Scroggins had a career in corrections. Attended Washington State Criminal Justice Academy, C.L.E.E.T., and worked at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center as a Security Supervisor for 14 years.

Don was a Citizen of the Chickasaw Nation - Tushka Chickasha, collecting and shooting guns, rattle snake hunting, writing songs, playing the guitar, history, languages, and Native American medicine.

Preceded in death by: Father - Jerry Richard Scroggins, Grandparents - Walter and Fannie Leslie, and Jean and John (Bud) Scroggins, Nephew - Jared Eugene Scroggins.

Survivors Include: Mother - Shirley Ann Scroggins, Yakima Washington. Two brothers - Jerry (Penny) Scroggins, of Cowiche, WA., Joe (Kristine) Scroggins of Billings, MT. Love of his Life - DeAnn Scroggins, Ada, Ok. Daughters - Brandy DeAnn and Kiri Scroggins of Ada, OK., Angela Santini of Zillah, WA. Son - Torin (Barbara) Scroggins of Ada, OK. Eleven grandchildren - Rainie Dae, Brandon, Levi, Akaya, Mattie, Cecelia, Pakali, Nico, Rowan, Bronwynn, and Odin. One great granddaughter - Mia. Many beloved nieces and nephews, and a large Leslie family (too many to mention).

Don (Ten) enjoyed family, friends, and Life, Teaching: self-defense, shooting, throwing knifes, teaching new languages (Spanish, German, Vietnamese), American history, playing guitar. Don (Ten) was fluent in the Chickasaw language and loved sharing his knowledge of Native American (Chickasaw) culture, medicine, and language. He was an Angel on this earth.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services announced later.
