Walter Calvin Scott, Sr.

January 17, 1918 ~ November 30. 2003

Services will be held Friday, December 5, at 9:30 a.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary, at 3700 River Blvd. for Walter Calvin Scott, Sr., 85, who passed away November 30. 2003.

Calvin was born January 17, 1918 in Jennings, Oklahoma, the youngest son of Walter Williams Scott and Mamie Schaffer Scott.

He married Mildred Marie Grider on February 5, 1938, on Ozark, Missouri.

They moved to Bakersfield, California in February 1947.

Calvin was a Journeyman Mechanic for over 50 years, retiring in 1985 from Pioneer Equipment.

Calvin loved being at home with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mildred; his sons, Roy Scott and wife, Frankie and Calvin Walter Scott, Jr.; his daughter, Ann Luce and husband, Stanley; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends.

Pallbearers will be Richard Kastner, Randy Kastner, Jake Grider, Jerry Grider, Joe Mezzacappa and Brandon Scott.

Visitation begins Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
