The services celebrating and honoring the life of Greg Sciortino, 79, of McLoud, will be held privately October 5, 2020, in the Chapel of Joy, with Pastor Bobby Hall officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home in Enid, OK.

Greg Sciortino was born October 5, 1940, to August and Nina Sciortina in Chicago, Illinois, and passed from this life September 28, 2020, in McLoud, Oklahoma. His life was defined by his love of family, country, and nature.

He was raised and educated in Chicago and graduated high school in 1956. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, married Joann Coniglio in 1958, and from that 14-year union came four children. After twelve years, he became an Officer serving in several capacities including Management Engineer, Commander of the Headquarters Squadron at Tinker AFB, and Executive Officer for the Command Staff Judge Advocate at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton Ohio.

Greg retired in San Antonio as a Captain after 22 years of service to our country. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in Logistics in 1972.

Greg married Joyce Underwood March 6, 1976. During their 44 years together, they enjoyed life, traveling together across the country and around the world, and enjoying nature. He owned and operated an auto leasing and mobile detail business after retirement. Always proud of his heritage, while in San Antonio he served as the Vice President of the Italian Society and was always ready for good Italian food.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce Sciortino; three children, Gregg and Vickie Sciortino, of Harrah, OK, Kathy and Mike Wellman, of Garland, TX, and Anthony and Deborah Sciortino, of Waco, TX; 16 grandchildren, Lindsey, Johnnie, Cody, Amy, Matt, Jonathan, Chealse, Sarah, Dillion, Jamie, Jacob, Dalton, Jordan, Michael Jr., Angel, Courtney; and several great-grandchildren, and Courtney; his brother, Ron and Carol McPherson; his Mother-in-Law, Lois Underwood, of Waukomis; many sisters and brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Chuck Sciortino; and son, Michael Sciortino.

Memorials may be made in his honor to The Wounded Warrior Fund with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as Custodian of the funds.
