Robert “Bob” Lee Schweer, 70, of Perry, Oklahoma was the son of Edwin William and Erma Estell (McNeal) Schweer. He was born on November 8, 1941 in Lucien, Noble County, Oklahoma and passed away November 20, 2011 at the Perry Memorial Hospital, Perry, Oklahoma.
Bob grew up in the Lucien and Covington area and attended Hayward High School. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. For thirty-eight years Bob served as a police officer in Blackwell, Newkirk and Perry, Oklahoma.
On November 21, 1972 he married Sherry Cowell in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She survives of the home Perry, OK. Other survivors include children, Kirt Schweer and wife Keli, Perry, OK, Rick Schweer and wife Kathleen, Perry, OK, Shelby Johnston and husband Tim, Newkirk, OK, Trent Voss, Newkirk, OK, Kristin Binns and husband Lee of Vinita, OK; nine grandchildren, Cody, Shyann, Amanda, Chance, Kirstin, Justin, , Dustin, Payton, Chelsea and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Noble County PAWs and may be sent to the Perry Funeral Home, 203 E. Fir, Perry, OK 73077.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Perry Funeral Home. Reverend Martin Foster will give words of comfort.
