Ramona J. "Mona" (Smith) Schwab

Ramona J. "Mona" (Smith) Schwab
September 5, 1947 ~ October 14, 2024

Ramona J. Schwab (Smith) lovingly known by all as "Mona" departed her earthly home with her loved ones by her side on Monday, October 14, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mona's life began on September 5, 1947 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to her parents William E. Smith and Virginia J. Smith (Briske). She received her early childhood education at Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Later attending college at Wisconsin State for one year until she met her soul mate Clay on a summer break. After meeting Clay, Mona laid down college to start a life that would end up being one that many dream of. After only dating a few weeks Clay and Mona both took that first leap of faith together and were united in marriage on October 14, 1966. Sharing fifty eight years of love, unity, dedication and loyalty to each other. Until God called Mona home on the day that has always been symbolic to Mona and Clay and they united to become one.

Mona was an outstanding service man's wife, helping Clay whenever he needed help, a nurturing and loving mom to her kids Suzanne and Joseph, a grandma who loved every moment with her grandchildren Darby, Jacob, Josiah, Jericho and Josephine. But what really mattered the most to Mona was her relationship with Christ. Which birthed her ministry as an Intercessory Prayer Team Leader and walking many through grief as she led Grief Share at the Assembly of God Church where she was a faithful member for thirty years.

Mona also enjoyed working with kids and was in charge of the Wagoner High School drama team for several years and directed the dinner theater in town.

Traveling was also a joy for Mona, she traveled doing missions in over 14 countries sharing the love of God, but Africa was her favorite. She loved going on trips with Clay, the kids and friends. Clay, Mona, Suzanne and Joe would travel with Bill and Kathy Jackson to their girl’s rodeos all over. Those were the good old days when there was just enough to get one hotel room for everyone to share with four kids on the floor. As a matter of fact as Mona would say "There were a lot of those good ole days" Mona loved her life in the country, with her husband, children, grandchildren, friends, family and most of all she loved looking at God's creation and worshiping Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her mother Virginia, father William, sisters Melony and Wanda.

She is survived by her husband Clay Schwab, daughter Suzanne and husband Red Allison, son Joseph Schwab and wife Jessi. One sister Carol Kettner, brothers Bruce Smith and Bill Smith. Grandchildren Darby Wade Imel, Jacob, Josiah, Jericho and Josephine Schwab, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
