Margaret Ann (Drake) Schultheis

Margaret Ann (Drake) Schultheis
March 28, 1948 ~ October 1, 2021

Margaret Ann Schultheis departed this life surrounded by family at her home on October 1, 2021 in Stroud, OK at the age of 73 years. She was born to Ray and Willie (Pettit) Drake on March 28, 1948 in Bristow, OK.

Margaret grew up around Lincoln County most of her life then moved to Oklahoma City after she graduated Stroud High School in 1966. Margaret worked a few years in cosmetology after receiving her license then went on to work in child care for majority of rest of her working life. Margaret met and then married John Schultheis on January 20, 1977 and were married until his passing in 2001. In her free time, she loved to read the newspaper, learning about people and the world. She also loved to craft and create things that would bless others. Margaret was so meticulous in those blessings, she wanted everything to be just right. Margaret also loved to sit on her front porch and admire God’s beauty and listen to gospel music. Margaret wanted everyone around her to be happy and laughing, she was so funny and ornery, she was definitely one of a kind. She loved without prejudice and gave beyond her means.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Willie Drake, her husband John Schultheis, her daughter-in-law Allison Schultheis and her two brothers Bill and Jerry Drake. Margaret is survived by sons Ryan Schultheis and Jeremy Schultheis; 3 grandchildren Sydnei, Ryen and Peyton Schultheis; sisters Shirley Post and husband Larry and Brenda Edwards and husband Eddy; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to niece, Kerri Post for the help and care she provided to Margaret.

A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be offered online at www.parksbrothers.net. Care Services are provided by Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Stroud, OK.
