The memorial service celebrating and honoring the life of James Ervin Scholten, 54, of Enid, will be held at a come and go gathering from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday December 24, 2021 at 1805 Kiowa Dr. Enid, OK. Complete cremation care is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
James was born May 13, 1967 to Buster and Mary Scholten in Stroud, Oklahoma and passed from this life December 21, 2021 in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated from a young child in Enid and attended Enid Public Schools. At a young age he was disabled due to a vehicle accident. He was always onery and full of life and love his sweets. He loved to collect eagles and gave the greatest hugs.
He is survived by three children, Jenny Marie Koehn, Larisa Ann Scholten, and James Ervin Scholten Jr.; two grandsons, Cayden Johnson and Jerry Koehn; his mother Mary Scholten, brother, Buster Scholten Jr.; sister, Debra Johnson, all of Enid, sister, Tracy Scholten, of Duncan; brother, Mike Scholten, of Breckenridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Jerry Lee Scholten, a niece and a nephew.
Memorials may be made in his honor to The Commons Nursing Home with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
