Leia Christie was born January 3, 1970 to Stephen and Anita Powell Schnaithman in Victoria, Texas and passed from this life with her daughter by her side on November 17, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She spent most of her younger years in Victoria until moving to Elk City, Oklahoma where she resumed her education. She lived the majority of her life in the mid-west working as a Nursing Assistant, and in her later years managing restaurants.
Through her previous unions came two beautiful daughters, Courtney Sue in 1987 and Chealsie Paige in 1995.
In her free time she enjoyed traveling and writing poetry, but she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons even more. In 2016 she met her companion Jack Tucker in Enid, Oklahoma where they resided together until her passing.
She is survived by her daughters Chealsie Overbay, of Lubbock, Texas and Courtney Ring, of Enid; her companion Jack Tucker, of the home, four grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Anita Powell.
Leia Christie was a force to be reckoned with and a sweet soul taken far too soon. She will be greatly missed.
