Grace Theresa (Neglia) Schmidt
November 13, 1936 ~ August 8, 2025

Grace Theresa Schmidt, 88, of Marietta, OK, was born on November 13, 1936, in New York City, NY, to the late Frank and Jessie (Lo Pinto) Neglia. She passed from this life on August 8, 2025, at her residence with her daughters by her side.

Grace married Charles Schmidt at the First Presbyterian Church of 5th Avenue in New York City on January 4, 1974. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2018.

Grace loved to travel, plant and garden, canning, cook, play computer games, arts and crafts.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert Mott; sister, Donna Neglia; and a brother, Joseph Neglia.

Those left to cherish Grace’s memory are her daughters, Susan Burkhart and husband Tom of Marietta, OK, and Susan Varrasi and husband John of New York; daughter-in-law, Sandy Mott of Springer, OK; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and nieces, Donna, Joanne, Jacque and Rosemary; and lots of extended family and friends.

A time of visitation for Grace will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 12, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M., at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Larry Stinson officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Marietta, OK.

Memorial contributions may be made in Grace’s honor to Cross Timbers Hospice, 207 C Street NW, Ardmore, OK 73401.
