Ruby B. (Indorf) Schlepp
August 4, 1926 ~ June 17, 2021

Ruby B. Schlepp, a follower of Jesus Christ, went to the presence of her Lord on June 18, 2021. Ruby was born on August 4, 1926. She died at the age of 94. She was a resident at the Bartlesville Assisted Living Facility.

Ruby was born on a farm 18 miles northwest of St. Francis, KS. She was the 6th of six girls born to John and Ruby Indorf. She was named after mother and a neighbor named Bea. Her family moved to the town of St. Francis, KS and she attended St. Francis Grade School and St. Francis High School, graduating high school in 1944.

Ruby married Lawrence A. Schlepp on March 2, 1947 at the Christian Church Parsonage in Goodland, KS. A son, Jeffrey, was born in 1948 and a daughter, Rebecca, was born in 1951.

Ruby and Lawrence moved to Burlington, CO, in 1972 and later moved to Copan, OK, in 1989 after Lawrence retired. Ruby was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was baptized at The First Christian Church of St. Francis, KS in 1937 and transferred her membership to the Dewey First Christian Church in Dewey, OK, in 1993. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruby, and her five sisters: Iva Blacker, Maragret Shay, Estella Knitig, Helen Lampe and Anna Marie Wilson in addition to her husband, Lawrence. She is survived by her five grandchildren, Jeremy McKitrick, Kelly Harms, Shane McKitrick, Zach Shelton and Nick Shelton; three great-grandchildren, Riley, MacKenzie and Connor.

No formal services are planned. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel.
