March 3, 1965 ~ April 21, 2026

A Celebration of Life for DeWayne Allen Schapansky will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 24, 2026, at Anderson-Burris Chapel followed by cremation. Family visitation will be on Thursday at Anderson-Burris from 5:30-7:00PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

DeWayne was born on March 3, 1965, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Orville and Carolyn (Tallant) Schapansky and passed away on April 21, 2026, at his home in Green Valley.

DeWayne worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas/OneOK for 39 years; a job he took so much pride in and truly enjoyed. Dewayne had a passion for youth, and enjoyed coaching baseball and football for EJRT, volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America, and serving as the Chisholm Sports Booster President.

On September 19, 2019, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico he married the love of his life and his best friend, Sandy. They shared a love of music, riding his Harley, and traveling which led to meeting many people and creating valued friendships.

The light of DeWayne’s life was his 7 grandchildren. He tried to always be present and rarely missed an event.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Schapansky of Lahoma; his daughter, Kayla Schapansky and Jason Weber of Enid; his son, Casey Schapansky of Enid; his daughters, Robin Burnham and Taylor Burnham of Lahoma; and his mother, Carolyn Rose of Tulsa. He is also survived by his sisters, Sherri Cooper (Dennis) of Tulsa and Crystal Rose of Tulsa; and his grandchildren, Emma, Izzy, Rhyan, Koldyn, Gauge, Jerrett, and Paxton. And many loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

DeWayne was preceded in death by his father, Orville Schapansky, and his stepfather Carl E. Rose.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Boy Scouts of American, or EJRT with the memo Baseball Scholarship with the funeral home acting as custodian.
