The services celebrating the life of Merle Eugene Schaffler, 69 of Enid will be held privately. Cremation services are under the direction of Brown- Cummings Funeral Home.

Merle was born November 3, 1946 in Enid to Vernon and Ruth Viola Hiebert Schaffler and passed away July 2, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. He graduated from Enid High School in 1965 and attended Phillips University. Merle worked in several vocations before becoming disabled.

Merle is survived by his siblings, Ronald Schaffler & wife Linda of Enid and Jeanetta Harris of Le Roy, New York.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Vernon Schaffler, Jr.
