Ronald Gene Sawyer

Ronald Gene Sawyer
December 22, 1946 ~ January 13, 2026

Ronald "Ron" Gene Sawyer, 79, of Bartlesville, died Wednesday, January 13th in Bartlesville.

Kimber's favorite memories are of Papa Ron watching Kenzie and I swim, then heading inside to make Dr. Pepper floats while listening to music.

Kenzie fondly remembers pitching to him in the front yard, being picked up from school on Tuesdays and Thursdays to go fishing and playing poker at the kitchen table.

Rilee cherishes the times spent in his office listening to music while Kenzie sang, the massive bowls of ice cream he would make for them (even if he got in trouble for it), and how he always asked about her life, school, rodeo, and friends. He was always there to listen to her talk about everything. Rilee also recalls his attempts to teach her to play the guitar, though it may not have been her forte, and jamming out to Katy Perry with him and Kenzie. She will miss seeing him standing at his door, waiting every time he knew we were coming over.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 16th at Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel, 4201 Nowata Rd., Bartlesville, OK 74006. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home and Crematory - Walker Brown Chapel.
