Lillie Sawney was born on February 12, 1965, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Franklin D. Sawney and Nancy Littledeer Sawney. She passed from this life on November 11, 2022, at the age of 57 years and 9 months.
She was preceded in death by her significant other Steve Clinton, both parents, her sister Lula Sawney, her brother Winfred (Rog) Sawney, two nephews Melvin Sawney and Wyatt Sawney, and a niece Brittany Sawney.
Lillie didn't have any children of her own, but Casandra Buckner and her children Avah, Kyla, Carly and great niece Brooklyn and great nephew Treylon, filled that space for her. She was also like a mother and helped raise as her own all of her other nieces and nephews also. She loved spending time and visiting with family and friends, listening to music and cruising with Cassie. She was always laughing and telling stories. We will all miss her and were blessed to have her in our lives.
Lillie is survived by her brothers, Franklin (Mose) Sawney Jr. and wife Joann; Ernest Sawney, J.D. Sawney and wife Vanessa, and Daryle Sawney all of Stilwell, Oklahoma. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive her.
