Melvin "Mel" Sanders, 60 of Noel, MO passed away September 19th 2013 in Joplin, MO. Born October 15, 1952 in Fort Sill, OK military hospital to Albert "Charlie" and Reta Sanders.

Mel attended Ochelata schools, he received Honorable discharge from the United States Army for his service during the Vietnam War 1969-1972. Mel worked construction in the Bartlesville area with his dad and brothers.

He is survived by his daughter Jamie Wilhite and his first wife Debbie. Grandchildren Shelby and Makenzie Wilhite and Brayden McKinney of Noel, MO. His Mother Reta Sanders Fields (Frank). Siblings: Peggy Morgan of Houston, TX, Donna (Jim) Gilstrap of Coffeyville, KS, Albert Sanders of Ochelata Ok, Susan Mattix of Bartlesville,OK, Joyce (Steve)Tarter of Fort Worth, TX and Steve (Patty) Sanders of Nowata, OK, and his many favorite nieces and nephews, he will be missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his father Albert"Charlie" Sanders, brother Gerald Sanders and nephew Craig Harmon Cassick.
