Services for Leslie Thomas Sanders, age 78, of Fairmont, are 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans.
Leslie was born Sept. 25, 1941, in Fredrick, Okla., to Henry and Hazel (McCollum) Sanders, and passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at home in Fairmont, surrounded by his loving family.
Leslie married Cathy Simmons on April 15, 1977, in Gainesville, Texas. He was employed by Pillsbury Mill for 10 years before taking a position with Key Energy where he worked as a salesman for 28 years before retiring. Leslie was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Enid.
Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hazel Sanders; a son, Christopher T. Sanders; and an aunt, Ruth McCandle.
He is survived by his wife Cathy, of the home in Fairmont; six children: Connie Dotson and her husband Wes, of Enid, Terry Feely of Waukomis, Okla., Curtis Sanders and wife Tammy, of Greenwood, Mo., Felicia Bozworth, of Fairmont, Okla., Shane Stanford and wife Jarree, of Enid, Minka Betchan and husband Jay, of Covington, Okla.; two sisters, Sharon Unruh and husband Jim, and Donna Braeggemann and husband Geoff, both of Enid; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorials in Leslie's name may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
