Christie Dawn Sanders, daughter of Leroy Sanders and Barbara Vance, was born on June 10, 1975 in Tahlequah, OK and departed this life on March 7, 2021 at her home in Stilwell, OK.
Christie was a devoted mother whose world revolved around her kids and grandkids, whom she loved dearly. Christie enjoyed planting flowers; she had multiple places all over the yard filled with her flowers, and roses were her favorite.
She also liked to collect rocks, you could find her walking the creek beds searching for the perfect rock to bring home to add to her collection.
Christie was bold and full of life and you never had to guess what was on her mind. If she liked you, she liked you and if she didn’t, you probably knew…But that didn’t take away from the caring heart Christie had. Her home would often be filled not only with her own children, but children that had no other place to go. Christie would share with others what she had, and sometimes all she had.
In her spare time, Christie enjoyed coloring, creating Paint by Diamonds artwork, and experimenting with all types of Do It Yourself projects.
Christie was preceded in death by her Mom, Barbara Vance, and her beloved cousin Jericho Wynos.
Christie leaves behind a loving family that includes: her Dad, Leroy, long-time companion Kent Teehee. Children: Summer Foreman and husband Jerrid of Oaks, OK., Keegan Nofire, Jason (Bubba) Nofire and girlfriend Yolanda Davis, and Kent (Shuggie) Teehee Jr. all of Stilwell, OK.
