Amy Jo (Hamilton) Sanders, 38, was born October 10, 1972 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Otis Hamilton and Sue Skaggs.
She passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Amy graduated from Carney High School in May 1990 and went on to Central State University in Edmond for two years.
She married James Cameron Sanders in 1992 and moved to Crestview, Florida where they had two children, Cole and Cade. They later returned to Edmond/Nichols Hills where she cherished her time as a mother and homemaker. Amy later moved to Chandler and worked for the Lincoln County News for the past two years before becoming ill.
During her life Amy was an avid reader and enjoyed art, gardening, entertaining, spending time with her boys and hanging out with her friends.
Amy is preceded in death by her father, Otis; and grandmother, Gerry Skaggs.
She is survived by her two sons, Cole and Cade of Oklahoma City; boyfriend, Charles Smith of Norman; mother, Sue Berry and step father Larry Berry of Chandler; sister, Misty Bellinger of Wetumka; grandfather, Bob Skaggs of Carney; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
A memorial service honoring Amy�s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel in Wellston.
Services are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home, Wellston.
