Margaret Ann (McKinney) Sam, daughter of James and Ruth (Priestley) McKinney was born on January, 27, 1942 In Pea Ridge, Arkansas and passed away on May 12, 2019, at the age of 77 at Grove Nursing Center following a year of declining health after suffering a stroke.
Margaret graduated from Pea Ridge High School in May 1960. She married Willis Kaiser in Bentonville, Arkansas on June 3, 1960 and to this union, two children were born.
Margaret later married Woodrow Sam of Stilwell on July 18,1975.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Woodrow in 1999, her brother Fred McKinney of Pea Ridge, an infant granddaughter, a stepson, Woodrow Jr, and four stepdaughters, Rosie, Mary, Becky and Ruth.
She is survived by her daughter Carrie McKenney (Rob) of Noel, Missouri, and a son, Joe Kaiser (Patty) of Centerton, Arkansas. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Roy, Kala, Madison, and Kiley, and four great-grandchildren, Joe Lee, Abby, Jordyn, and Marley. Also surviving are her two sisters, Zadie Nelson of Pryor and Beulah Prophet of Pea Ridge and a sister-in-law Mable McKinney of Pea Ridge. two stepsons, James Sam (Katherine) of Stilwell, and Sampson Sam (Kathy) of Tulsa. Also left to mourn her loss is her longtime friend and companion Joe Meeks of Stilwell, and numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The body has been cremated. No formal services are planned at this time. The family would like to thank Grove Nursing Center and Physician’s Choice Hospice for taking care of Margaret.
