Denise Renee Salsman aged 55 of Caney, Kansas joined her family in heaven on February 9, 2018. She was born in Iowa on October 20,1962. She is the daughter of Eubia Hunter and Dennis Doorman.
Denise was the wife to Jim Salsman of Caney. They were married on June 12, 1981 and made their home together in Caney. She was the mother of two children, Denny Fisher of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Shawna Salsman of Caney, Kansas. She adored her two children. She was also the Grandmother of 9 grandsons, Angel, Junior, Dillon, Logan, Kainin, Josiah, Gavin, Eli, and Bear; and 1 granddaughter Abbygale. Some of her greatest accomplishments were being a fierce mother and "MeMe" and "Nanna" to all her children.
She enjoyed reading, crochet, and taking trips with Jim to various locations. She also enjoyed crafting various projects with her grandchildren.
Denise is preceded in death by her mother Eubia, sister Jackie, and Grandson Logan. She is survived by her father Dennis, brothers William and Steve, sister Mary, husband Jim, son Denny & wife Monica, daughter Shawna & husband Calvin.
Denise loved her family with a fierce passion. She was a straight shooter who was unapologetically authentic, honest and devoted.
The family will be holding a private memorial service on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
