George Edward “Eddie” Salmon was born on April 13, 1957, in Sanford, North Carolina to Henry and Irene (Blackburn) Salmon. Eddie passed away at his home on Friday, September 2, 2022, at the age of 65.
Eddie married Debra Kay Cooper on October 6, 1983, in Sherman, TX. They have been united as one for 38 years. They moved to Bryan County in 2004 from West Texas. He was a “Jack of all Trades”, and he enjoyed collecting old coins, cars, motorcycles, and tinkering with anything.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Irene Salmon; brothers Donald and Ronnie Salmon and sister Rose Salmon.
Eddie is survived by his loving and devoted wife Debra K. Salmon of the home; son Lee Cooper and wife Lindsey of Durant, OK; granddaughters Katelyn and Kenzie Cooper both of Durant, OK; sister Lynell Yow of North Carolina; sister in laws Darlene Flowers and husband Ken of Denison and Jimmie Cooper and husband Ronald of Denison, TX; nephews Shawn and Shane Lamance both of Pottsboro, TX and numerous extended family and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2002, from 6-8 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
