Patricia Ann Sailors was born April 13, 1942, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Tom and Vera Sailors. In 1951, the Sailors family moved to Enid, Okla., where Tom started H&S Supply, a plumbing supply business.
Patricia graduated from Enid High School. Following graduation, she attended Oklahoma City University, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.
The family was active at First Methodist Church of Enid, where Patricia gained a passion for Christian ministry. In her early high school years, she wanted to become a Methodist missionary.
She attended Phillips University, graduating in 1963, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Education. She continued her pursuit of ministry education at The Perkins School of Theology of Southern Methodist University, graduating with a Master of Divinity. She was ordained as a Methodist Minister and served as Director of Religious Education at the University Park Methodist Church and as an Associate Pastor at Lover�s Lane Methodist Church, both in Dallas, Texas.
In 1968, Patricia moved to Denver, Colo., where she served churches in Denver, Boulder, Fort Morgan and Colorado Springs. She retired from ministry in 2009.
Following retirement, she was an active member of St. Luke's Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch. Her passion for church ministry was life-long.
Patricia is survived by her brother, Tom Sailors and wife Ruth Ann of Enid, Okla.; two sons, Scott Kirton of Oak Creek, Colo., and John Kirton of Centennial, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Mikaela Kirton of Centennial.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at St. Luke's Methodist Church, 8817 S. Broadway, Highlands Ranch, Colo. Local arrangements are under the direction of
Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Luke�s Methodist Church memorial fund.
