Robert Joseph Sabo

Robert Joseph Sabo
Tuesday August 4, 1953 ~ Friday March 27, 2026

Robert Joseph Sabo, passed away peacefully at Integris Hospice House on March 27th, 2026, listening to Fire on the Mountain by the Grateful Dead, his favorite band.

Born in New Jersey, Robert had an adventurer's spirit. He left home young and traveled state to state eventually homesteading in Alaska, which if anyone knew him, and heard his stories, knew that was one of the highlights of his life. He would spend hours telling anyone who would listen about his time there.

Robert's greatest pride in life was his daughters Casey, Shauna, Christie, and Carly. He was a devoted father who would move mountains for his girls and did so on multiple occasions. He wore the weight of the world on his shoulders so they could shine.

There are no plans for a formal service for Robert as he never enjoyed being the center of attention, however his family will plan to take a trip up to Alaska when the time feels right, to celebrate the life of a man bigger than words can express, and the beautiful, long strange trip he had.

"Fare you well, fare you well. I love you more than words can tell. Listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock my soul."
