Kingston, OK- Elaine Louise (Whiteley) Rutledge, 78, passed from this life and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Elaine was born on Tuesday, August 20th, 1946 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Lester Eugene Whiteley and Bonnie Mae (Payne). She was a graduate of Wichita High School in Wichita, Kansas. Elaine married her sweetheart, Gary Wayne Rutledge on June 26th, 1995 in Eureka Springs. They moved to Kingston in September of 2008.
Elaine and Gary are members of the First Baptist Church in Dallas where they both sing in the choir and were involved with the Pastor’s Prayer Partners. Elaine enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables, traveling, cooking, and singing in the choir.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Amy and Cindy Shanks; and step-son, Sam Rutledge.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Wayne, of Kingston; daughter, KimberLee Barnum and her husband, Doug of Tulsa, OK; sister, Kathy Profitt of Tulsa, OK; brothers, Joe of Wichita, KS, and Lester of Claremore, OK; granddaughter, Ashley Shanks of Bixby, OK; grandson, Ben Rutledge of Tulsa, OK; great-grandkids, Zaden and Riley Shanks of Bixby, OK; and daughter-in-law, Carol Rutledge of Tulsa, OK.
