ENID - Kenneth L.G. Russworm was born to George and Eldora Russworm on April 14, 1929, in Watonga, Okla.

Kenneth graduated from Dunbar High School in 1947, in Watonga, Okla.

Kenneth enlisted with the United States Army in November 1948, and served in the Korean War. He received an honorable discharge in June 1952.

After his return back to the states. Kenneth graduated in 1966, from Central State College with a degree in mortuary science.

On Feb. 14, 1967, he married the love of his life, Mrs. Willie Opal Tucker Russworm. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before his demise.

Kenneth was a humanitarian and he loved people. His main ambition in life was to be fair to his clients. He became the third generation of Russworm to own and operate funeral homes in El Reno, Kingfisher, Watonga, Cushing and Enid, Okla. Kenneth was a business man in every sense of the word. He started a string of firsts, and he was one of the most renowned, influential personalities in the state of Oklahoma.

Kenneth’s Parents, Eldora and George Russworm; two brothers, George Jr. and Arthur Russworm; and his daughter, Marchell Russworm, all preceded him in death.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his legacy his wife, Opal Russworm of the home; two sons, Larry and Kenneth Jr. Russworm of San Bernardino, Calif.; three grandsons, Leonardo Hatefi and Marvin and DeAndre Russworm of San Diego, Calif.; two nephews, Lyle Russworm of Watonga, Okla., and Delbert Russworm of Jacksonville, Ala.; two nieces, Linda Peterkin of Jacksonville, Ala., and Gail Lotson of Wichita Kan.; two dear cousins, Fern Brooks of Anadarko, Okla., and Gracie Glass of Wichita, Kan.; one sister-in-law, Edna (Sonny) Maynard of Olathem, Kan.; and a host of relatives and friends. A loyal employee of 17 years, Ms. Stacie Brown of Enid, Okla. Kenneth will be missed by all.

He laid a foundation for all that knew him to build upon and remember him for the love that he spread throughout the family and community for 84 years.

Service for Kenneth Russworm will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at First Church of the Nazarene, Highway 33 East Russworm Drive. Service on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2505 West Owen K. Garriot Road, at 11 a.m. in Enid, Okla.
