Bonnie L. Runnels

April 26, 1934 ~ July 30, 2006

Bonnie L Runnels, former Cushing resident, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2006 in the Grace Living Center in Stillwater, at the age of 72 years.

The daughter of the late Mack L Runnels and Annabell Ogle Runnels, Bonnie was born on April 26, 1934 in Cushing, and was reared and educated in the Cushing schools.

She was married to Garland Lee Shannon on March 4, 1952 in Yuma, AZ and he preceded her in death.

Bonnie had worked as a CNA prior to her retirement, and she really enjoyed working in the health field, knowing that she was always taking care of the sick. She was very kind hearted and will be missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include three daughters, Ginny Hale and her husband Ronald of Palmer, Alaska, Mary Shannon of Vancouver, WA and Gina Knight of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, Doyle Runnels of El Paso, TX; eleven grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Shannon; one sister Maxine Hurst; one brother William Runnels and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2006 at 2 P.M. in the Grace Living Center in Stillwater (125 West 10th Street) with Jeff Jackson officiating.
