August Tobias Francisco Roybal passed away on October 13, 2015.

A visitation will be on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Services will be held at Whinery-Huddleston Chapel on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 11:00am.

August "Frank" Roybal was born September 12, 1939 in Denver, Colorado.

He married Leola Davis Roybal in 1970 in Clarksville, Tennessee.

August joined the Army in 1976 where he served in Vietnam, Germany, and Hawaii. During his tour, he was awarded the Bronze medal among many other military awards and ribbons. He retired from the Army after serving 24 years.

He then went on to work contract Food Services at Ft. Sill for an additional 18 years.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW.

August was known as Papa Frank to all the neighborhood kids. He was a loving father and grandfather. He loved to work on his hobbies, beading, jewelry making, and wood crafting. August always cared about helping out others. He Enjoyed spending time with his special friend Charlotte Thompson and his line dancing at the VFW. August loved to volunteer at the DAV and going to church. He enjoyed making new friends and telling stories about when he was young. Mr. Roybal loved ironing his clothes and had to have them extra starched and looking sharp all the time.

August is survived by his daughter, Yolanda Roybal-Perry and her husband Benjamin of Lawton, OK; grandchildren, Shonna Perry-Hernandez and Nina Perry of Lawton, OK, and Thoang Roybal and Michael Roybal of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters Loretta (Don) Heckler of Bethany, OK and Linda Parker of Cowley, WY; brothers Lee Roybal of Humboldt, IA and Ernie Roybal of Florida. He is also survived by special friends, Charlotte Thompson of Lawton, OK and Jenny Loular of Fort Worth, TX.

He is preceded by, wife Leola Roybal; son Zackary Roybal; grand-daughter Angelica Perry; brother Richard Roybal and parents, Mary and August Roybal Sr.
