A graveside service with full military honors was conducted for Pervia Ewin Rowland at 11:00 a.m. August 19 in the Fort Bragg Post Cemetery. Chaplain Jay Hartrenft officiating.
Mr. Rowland died August 16, 1994, in the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was a retired Army Specialist 5. (Contributor note: Mr. Rowland is the son of Walter Pervia (W.P.) and Sallie Ruth Speake Rowland.)
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Rowland of the home in Fayetteville, North Carolina; two sons, John W. Rowland of San Antonio, Texas, and Paul E. Rowland of Fayetteville; three daughters, Sally Gardner of Fayetteville, Kathy Wright of Jacksonville, Florida, and Theresa Alliot of Miami; three brothers, King Rowland, Raymond Rowland and Roy Rowland, all of Oklahoma; three sisters, Martha Weathers of Marietta, and Juanita Lester and Nadine Presley, both of Dallas, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
