Terry Rowe, longtime resident of Ponca City, went to heaven on December 16, 2020 after losing his battle of Non- Hodgins Lymphoma. He was born April 6, 1955 to N.W. (Dub) and Helen Rowe in Arkansas City, KS. He moved with his family to Ponca City, OK as a young child.
Terry married Cheryl Miller on May 26, 1976. They spent 13 years together and had three children, two sons and a daughter. Terry ran his own detail shop for a few years during this time. He also worked in the refinery, for the city of Ponca City, and several other types of jobs before becoming permanently disabled in 1992 while working for Pemberton Chevrolet.
Terry was a huge OU Sooners football fan. He never missed a game if it was televised. He was also a big fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team. He became a fan of the New York Yankees in his later years as well. Also, in his younger, healthier years, he loved to ride his Harley Davidson until he got to where it hurt him too bad to ride anymore. He liked to take his kids fishing and hunting as well. He loved going out to the lake or kaw dam and letting his dog run or just spend time with his children. Terry enjoyed cooking out on the grill with his family and friends, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a great friend, father, and grandfather and is going to be missed by many.
Terry is survived by his three children, Cassie Rowe and boyfriend Jerry, Jeremy Rowe and wife Danielle, and Robert Rowe all of Ponca City, four grandchildren, Jocelyn Rowe, Courtney Rowe, Marissa Rowe, and Lexi Rowe all of Ponca City, one great grandchild, Hadley Rowe, of Ponca City, three brothers, Rod Rowe and wife Kathy, Bruce Rowe and wife Mary, and Nonnie Rowe and wife Doris all of Ponca City, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father N.W (Dub) Rowe, mother Helen Eagle, and many friends. Remembrances may be shared online at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
