Funeral services for Loyce Rowe, 81, of Willow Park, Texas were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, at First Baptist Church of Willow Park. Interment followed at Annetta Cemetery.)
Loyce, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, went home to be home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 30, 2009.
She was born November 29, 1927 in Burneyville. She was employed by SBC for 28 years before retiring in 1984. Her church and family were the centers of her life. Loyce was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Willow Park and was always helping others. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was a lady of grace, kindness and love. The family expresses its appreciation for all the prayers, food and kindness during Loyce’s brief illness.)
She was preceded in death by her parents, H.T. “Boss” and Minnie Hicks, and brothers, G.W. And Delbert.)
Survivors include her husband, of 63 years, Vernon; children, Darrell and wife Sheryl of Weatherford, Texas, Farrell and wife Sally of Austin, Texas, Tom and wife Nancy and Renee Cartwright and husband, Scott all of Aledo, Texas; grandchildren, Burt Rowe and wife, Carrie of Weatherford, Shelley Jelich and husband Jake, Lindsay Garrison and husband Jim, Jill McCracken and husband Rich, and Carley Rowe, all of Fort Worth, Texas, Claire Rowe and husband Lin Shao of Washington, D.C., and Ethan Cartwright of Aledo; great-grandchildren, Katie and Derek Rowe and Riley McCracken; sister, Rosalie Bennett; brothers, H.T., Richard and Larry Hicks, all of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.)
