Roberta Routh, 97 year old Woodward resident, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in Seiling, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Roberta Lee Routh was born December 29, 1924 to Vera Leona Knight in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Roberta grew up in Woodward and later graduated from Woodward High School. Roberta was united into marriage to Earl Routh in Woodward where they were blessed with one son, Roger.
Roberta worked as a telephone operator. She was the only telephone operator working during the Woodward Tornado of 1947. She also worked part time at the Green Stamp Store. She often enjoyed walking, crocheting, embroidery, painting, and drinking coffee. What brought her the most joy in life was having Roger and her grand-daughter Zoe.
Roberta is survived by one son, Roger L. Routh and wife Silvia of Woodward; and grand-daughter, Zoe Vanessa Routh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl and her mother, Vera.
