Donald Eugene Ross Born November 24, 1933 " Died October 1, 2013. Don grew up in Oklahoma City and attended high school at Central High. He was quarterback for his senior football team and was a member of the high school dive team. He also excelled in art classes which he really loved. He learned to fly during his high school years, a passion that stayed with him all his years. He graduated in 1952.

Don served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Don earned a living as a pilot for many years before becoming a truck driver, which he retired from in 1995 with a pension that allowed him to travel and enjoy life. Airplanes were not the only vehicles that Don owned and enjoyed. Over the years he was often seen in one of the several sports cars he loved and cared for. Sailing was an easy transition for a life-long pilot.

He kept his sailboat harbored in Chesapeake Bay and navigated those waters while he lived in the area. Don"s travels took him to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico shortly after retiring where he met the love of his life. Don and Claudia Davalos fell in love and were married. Their daughter Claudia Ruby Ross was born September 27, 1999. Don and Claudia moved back to Midwest City in 2001 to raise their daughter close to Don"s family.

Don was preceded in death by his father Eugene Robert Ross in 1989, his mother Ruby Jo Ross in 2009.

Don is survived by his wife Claudia Ross and daughter Claudia Ruby Ross of the home; daughter Brenda Henderson of Magnolia, Texas; daughter Peggy Phillips of Norman, Oklahoma; son Joe Don Ross of Olympia, Washington; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
