Robert King Rose, 66, entered into rest on April 12th, 2009, before the Almighty and into His protective custody.
Born on July 20th, 1942, in Chickasha, OK to Robert H. and Grace King Rose, he graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a BA degree in Psychology and minors in Biology and Chemistry in 1964. He sang with the Bison Glee Club while at OBU.
A veteran of the Vietnam War era, he served in the Army Medical Service Corps.
He completed postgraduate studies in finance, economics, business law and accounting at the University of Oklahoma in the early 1970'sRobert was Chief Financial Officer of Security Federal Savings and Loan, OKC, 1974-1980. He held the position of VP and Manager of Operational Accounting for Sooner Federal Savings and Loan, Tulsa. He briefly owned Thunderbird Travel Service in Norman, 1985-1987. He had an active accounting practice in Oklahoma and California and served as a contract CPA for the Resolution Trust Corporation in So. California. He was a partner in a small antique store chain in Ventura and Santa Barbara, CA. In recent years, he was an accounting consultant.
Both parents and a baby granddaughter Savannah Rose Stanley predeceased him.
Survivors include: Melissa Rose Stanley and her husband, Robert of Dallas, TX; Robert Talley Rose of Norman, OK; Zachary Hudson Rose and his wife, Miki of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Miranda Anne Stanley and Grace Karol Rose. He will forever be missed.
