Danny Ray Rose passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the age of 71.
He was born on July 5, 1950 to Sylvester (Brother) and Scharlene June Rose in Bennington, Oklahoma.
Growing up, you could find him working on heavy equipment and machinery with his beloved grandfather, Joel T. Adams. As a young man, he graduated from Okmulgee Tech as a diesel mechanic. He worked for Hale-Halsell for 20 years and was well known in the community as an excellent mechanic, ready and willing to help his neighbors, family and friends.
He was a rancher who proudly called his home, the Rose Ranch. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed catfishing the Blue River, and having fish frys. He loved hunting and always looked forward to seeing what was on his game cameras. He was known to always have motorcycles, until his health didn’t permit, and he passed that love on to his children.
You could always find him sitting in his shop, with the doors open, watching traffic go by, visiting with family and friends. He loved the small town life and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joel and Della Adams, Roscoe and Essie Rose and his parents Brother and June Rose.
He is survived by 2 children, 4 grandchildren and multiple cousins who loved him.
Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in
