Graveside service for Peggy M. Romero, 66, of Sherwood Shores, TX, was held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery, Grayson County, TX, under the direction of Huff Funeral Home, Whitesboro, Texas. Peggy M. Romero was born May 12, 1937, at Ninnekah, OK, to Jimmie Henderson and Gertrude Chambers Henderson, and died November 24, 2003, in the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.
She married Baudie Romero on May 25, 1954, in Roverton, Wyoming. She was a homemaker, member of Sherwood Auxiliary Volunteer Fire Department, and the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: husband, Baudie Romero, Sherwood Shores, TX; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Lane and Viola Romero, Chickasha, Joy and Joesette Romero, Mustang; 4 daughters and sons-in-law: Elaine and Jeff Calhoun, Doris and Sam Aid, Trinie and Greg Tate, Sheree and Cairl Tims, all of Sherwood Shores, TX; mother, Gertrude Henderson, Helena, MT; sister, Darlene Loweth, Helena, MT; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are: Scotty Tims, Arman Askari, Michael Romero, Timothy Romero, Michael Verhines, Shawn Ortiz, Jeff Calhoun, Jr., Jerad Calhoun, Chris Jenkins and Stevie Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Sherwood Shores Volunteer Fire Department: Roy Wolf, Richard Terry, Ron Blackwell, Greg DeBord, Rich Riley, Chuck Thomas, Chris Bilderback, Ben Blackwell, Clive Blackwell, Rebecca Rumley, Glenda Martinez, Lucy Thomas and Carol Blackwell.
