Debora Kay Rolland was born March 24th, 1952 to loving parents Bob and Betty Gripe of Maramec, OK.
Debbie Graduated from Pawnee High School. She continued her education at NOC Tonkawa and Oklahoma State University.
After receiving two degrees she began her Career at Fairfax Hospital, later transferring to Pawnee Municipal Hospital where she, esteemed colleague James Gregor, and staff ran the lab for over 30 years.
Along this journey she married Howard Rolland Jr. of Pawnee, OK. From this union one child was born, son Justin Howard Rolland. Along with Howard Rolland Jr. came two daughters Sarah Ann Duncan and Angela Piotrowski.
Debbie and Howard built their home in rural Pawnee County. A farm where they grew a family garden, raised cattle, dogs, cats, and Uncle Ronald’s beloved Shetland pony “Pokie”.
Debbie was very dedicated to her church Maramec United Methodist and all of its ministries. She was a proud member of her home economics club “New Horizons”.
Debbie was involved with her family in all forms. She loved to quilt and crochet. If you knew Debbie late in her life chances are she made you a pot holder.
Debbie survived many afflictions during her life. The rarest being Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease or CMT for short, which she advocated for trying to bring awareness to the rare genetic disorder (www.cmtausa.org).
Debbie was preceded in death by parents Bob and Betty Gripe. With respect to all grandparents, aunts, uncles, and elders we would like acknowledge all loved ones who passed on along the way.
She is survived by Brother Dan Gripe and family of Stillwater, OK. Son Justin Rolland of Pawnee, OK. Grandchildren Jerome Chappelle Jr., Liliana Rolland, and Kenadi Rolland of Tulsa, OK. Carmine Rolland of Houston, TX. With respect to all living relatives, in-laws, and bonus grandchildren.
