Barton William Rogge

Barton William Rogge
May 13, 1959 ~ May 7, 2023

Viewing for Barton Rogge will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Marshall Funeral Home. Family will be present from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be in Oakley, Kansas and burial will be in Russell Springs Cemetery in Russell Springs, Kansas.

Barton William Rogge, son of Joyce Alene (Warren) Rogge and the late John Dean Rogge, was born May 13, 1959, at Oakley, Kansas, and passed away May 7, 2023, in Grant County, at the age of 63 years, 11 months, and 25 days.

Barton went to school in Russell Springs, Kansas, and high school in Winona, Kansas. He dropped out the day he turned 16 because school just wasn't for him. He began working at the young age of 14. He was working for the Bouziden's at the time and moved to Oklahoma in 1983 to continue working for them. Barton was one hell of a truck driver. He was a jack of all trades, he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, herding cattle, and riding horses. One of his super powers was he was able to pick the most amazing dogs. He was a jokester and no one was safe from his pranks.

Barton will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. He was one of the most generous people and he would do anything for anyone. A fun loving person whose life was too short.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Geri Gibbs, Cheryl Trompeter, and Debbie Rogge.

Barton is survived by his mother, Joyce Rogge of Oakley, Kansas; his children, Cody Rogge and wife, Rebecca Jo, of Russell, Kansas, Dustin Rogge, Trevor Rogge, Mercedes Rogge, Cammi Rogge, all of Alva, and Gayle Rogge and husband, Rex Bell, of Sawyer, Kansas; brothers, Van Rogge and wife, Teresa, of Kingfisher, Ron Rogge and wife, Candace, of Idaho, and Dan Rogge and wife, Robin, of Winona, Kansas; two sisters, Terri Boyd of Oakley, Kansas and Michelle Barker of Texas; five grandchildren, Dominick Covert, Addain Lee, Haley Lee, Jaxson Mayes, and Jesse Rogge; other relatives and friends.
