William H. Rogers entered this life on July 1, 1939, in El Paso, Texas to parents Bethel Henry and Henrietta Fanny (Taylor) Rogers. William entered the Gates of Heaven on Thursday April 11, 2024, in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 84. William graduated from Ysleta High School and Kiamichi Vo Tech EMT program in Durant, Oklahoma. He proudly served his Country in the United States Navy and later in the United States Army in the Vietnam Conflict and retired in 1971 after 21 years of service. He married Patrecia Ann Hampton on November 1, 2007, in Antlers, Oklahoma and they have been blessed with 16 years of marriage. He worked as a mechanic specializing in watercraft engines, EMT for Marshall County, Fire Chief for Lake Texoma, 1st Responder for Marshall County, and was a mechanic for Clyde Beatty Circus.
William was devoted Christian Man and was a faithful member of Victory Life Church in Durant. He was a member of Warriors of Word at Victory Life, Patriot Guard of S.E. OK, and volunteered his time at the Hands of Hope Food Bank in Durant. In his free time, he enjoyed wood working, riding motorcycles, and Volkswagen Buses.
William is preceded in death by his parents Bethel (Tex) Rogers and Henrietta (Taylor) Rogers; 1st wife Glenda Rogers; son Wayne Rogers; sister Patty Rogers; brothers Loyd Rogers and Howard Rogers; and brother-in-law John Regen.
William is survived by his wife Patrecia Ann Rogers of the home; children Ronnie Rogers and wife Tiny of Colbert, OK, Beth Rogers of Calera, OK, Nick Kinholt of Antlers, OK, and Jami Keyes and husband Lee of Durant, OK; sister Carol Regen of Durant, OK; brothers Ted Rogers and wife Gwen of Durant, OK and Jim Rogers and wife Melva of Longview, TX; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of William’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Lee Armstrong will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
