Simuel O. Rogers

March 25, 1894 ~ July 30, 1985

Crescent - The funeral for Simuel O. Rogers, 91, who died Tuesday, July 30, 1985 in a Crescent nursing home, will be at 9 AM Friday in the Chapel of Abernathy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Hanes will officiate.

Graveside services will be observed at 4 PM Friday in Comal Cemetery at New Braunfels, Texas.

Rogers was born March 25, 1894 in Stella, to George and Lula Rogers. He was a retired employee of the Union Pacific Railroad and a veteran of World War I, serving with the United States Navy. He married Edna Emily Moeller and lived in Idaho, moving to Crescent in 1959.

Survivors include a brother, Oscar, Newalla; and a sister, Matilda Klopfenstein, Crescent.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, April 6, 1959, a son, a daughter, four brothers and a sister.
