David Allen Rogers of Tonkawa, Oklahoma passed away early Friday morning December 7, 2018 at Blackwell Hospital at the age of 66. A private family gathering will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
David was born on August 23, 1952 to Matthew Allen "Buck" and Madonna Grace "Billie" (Clemens) Rogers in Blackwell Ok. He grew up in Tonkawa, and graduated from Tonkawa High School in 1970. On December 29, 1970 he married Barbara Ann (Vinson) settling in Tonkawa while working for Arkla Gas. In 1973 he joined the Tonkawa Police Department where he began his long time career, retiring in 1999 as Police Chief. On September 7, 1984 he married Betty Lou (Page). In the late 90's and early 2000's he owned and operated Maverick Lanes. He truly enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, bowling, and was a HUGE fan of OU Football and Softball, Tonkawa High School Football and Thunder Basketball. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. Dave is a friend to many and will be dearly missed...
Survivors include his daughter Michelle Noll and husband Mark of Tonkawa, son Chad Rogers and wife TiAta of Newkirk, sister Laurie Arellano and husband Ed of Tonkawa, brother Andy Rogers and wife Stacy of Tonkawa, grandchildren from daughter Michelle- Tanner Rogers, Jared Wickham, Derek Wickham, Madison Noll, Cadence Noll, and Kooper Noll, grandchildren from son Chad- Brandin Divine, Daylon Rogers, Toby Rogers, Bailey Rogers, Isabella Rogers, Chad Rogers Jr., five great grandchildren- T.J. Rogers, Haleigh Rogers, Jaxon Divine, Carter Divine, Emerson Divine, along with numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Betty, parents Buck and Billie Rogers, grandparents Bill and "Granny" Grace Clemens, and brother Mike Rogers.
