Bertha M. (Payne) Rogers was born July 7, 1955 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Ollie Mae (LeFlore) Payne and James A. Brown where she was reared and received her education until 1964 when her family moved to Bartlesville. She attended Douglas Elementary School, Washington Elementary School and was a 1973 graduate from College High School. She later received her Associates Degree at Coffeyville Community College. She and Billy E. Rogers were married June 2, 1973 and to this union two children were born, Lisa M. Rogers and Billy E. Rogers Jr.
She was a former employee of Reda Pump, the Washington County Court Clerk's Office, and was an employee of the Washington County District Attorney from January 1995 until March 2007 at which time she began her employment as the Secretary, Bailiff with the Washington Country District Court. Where she was employed until her retirement in July of 2017. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who was very passionate about her family and her pets Titus, Sam & Sheba. Her favorite pastime was reading books and watching movies with her grandchildren.
She passed from this life on January 19, 2018 in Bartlesville. Surviving are her daughter Lisa of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, her son Billy of Houston, Texas, three grandchildren, Aaliyah Rogers, Timothy (Eric) Rogers, and Caleb Rogers, her sister Esther Payne of Tulsa, Oklahoma and two nieces Sha'Ronda Payne and Victoria Payne, one nephew Donnell Payne, and Sister In-law Linda Brown of Bartlesville, her Uncle Billy Joe LeFlore and his wife Rena of Bartlesville, her Aunt Vervina of Texas, her loving friends Curtis And Lee Anne DeLapp of Bartlesville, and a host of loving cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, one passed at birth and "Big Brother" Roy Franklin Brown Sr. And "Big Sister" Mary E.(Brown) Ishem.
