Alva R "Cotton" Rogers, 84 passed from this life on July 5, 2023, at the Pawhuska City Hospital in Pawhuska, Oklahoma

Cotton was born March 11, 1939, in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Woodrow Rogers and Grace (Leeper) Reed. He grew up with two brothers and three sisters. Cotton and siblings were raised by their Grandma Rogers. He got his name "Cotton" because his hair was so white as a kid. Cotton was a truck driver by trade and spent many years driving the highways.

He is survived by his sisters Edna McDonald, Pat Rogers Crews, and Mary Peyton; by his son Stuart Rogers; stepdaughter Christine Jehle; two grandchildren Layton Bradley and Fallon Hunter; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; Special friends Grace Stone and Kanyon Stone. He was preceded in death by his wife Glenda; his sons Jimmy Ray Rogers and William Rogers; his parents Woodrow Rogers and Grace Reed; his brother James Washington Rogers

Cotton loved to live on the wild side. Meeting Glenda Singleman was a great thing. She was the love of his life. He loved to move around and explore the country. He lived in California, Florida, Ohio, and Oklahoma.

Cotton loved to go fishing. He liked to drink beer and party, any type of music was good for Cotton. Sitting down to relax meant turning on an old Western on TV; it might be a John Wayne movie or Gunsmoke. Cotton also enjoyed watching basketball.

Cotton loved being with his family, they all had a special place in his heart. Sitting down with his loved ones was very important to him. He loved his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by everyone who knows him. The family would like to give a special thank you to Grace Stone and Kanyon Stone for all they did to help Cotton over the last years. Cotton thought the world of them. Cotton loved his dog, "Chico."
