Celebration of Life Services for Charlene Marie (Gilliland) Roe, 76, of Turley, OK, were held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated.

Charlene was born December 12, 1948, in Tulsa, OK, to Howard David Gilliland and Maxine Marie (Headrick) Gilliland. She passed away December 18, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.

Charlene was raised in the Turley area where she attended Cherokee School and McLain High School. She later met who would become her husband, Danny Roe in 1981. They moved to Dallas, TX in 1983, then to Lincoln, NE and back to her childhood home in 1991 until her passing. She loved fishing, camping, stock car racing and going for a ride on the motorcycle.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Roe; son, Joey Brown; daughter, Tiffany Little and husband, Craig; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Sonny Gilliland; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; and a host of many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Aaron Brown; bonus granddaughter, Loren Watts; mother, Maxine Gilliland; father, Howard Gilliland and wife, Irene; and daughter-in-law, Deborah Brown.

Services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
